United has launched a sale for flights to Las Vegas from Charlotte, NC for as low as $164 roundtrip.  Vegas is definitely a destination where it’s tough to find flights returning on Sunday for a reasonable price (because everyone who goes to Vegas wants to go for a long weekend and fly home on Sunday, so airlines jack up Sunday flight prices), but if you can be a bit flexible with dates, it’s possible to find a reasonable itinerary with this sale.

Fares are available through March and April, 2015 but dates are relatively sparse.  Spring weather in Vegas is really pretty comfortable – in March, the average high is 70°F and the average low is 49°F.  I highly recommend using ITA Matrix or Kayak for flexible date searches.  Here’s a look at 3-5 day trips in February from ITA Matrix:

As I mentioned above, you can use ITA Matrix or Kayak to perform flexible date searches, and then you can book directly on United’s website.  As a constant reminder, when you book directly with the airline, you have up to 24 hours to cancel for a full refund, so when it comes to deals like this, if you even think you might want to take advantage of this sale, it’s in your best interest to go ahead and book now.  Then, you can finalize you’re thinking and planning within 24 hours…you’ll lock in the price by booking now, but in 24 hours when you’re ready to book, the fare might be gone and then you’re out of luck!

When I’ve seen similar fares to these, they typically last for 1-3 days, and not any longer, so I don’t expect this fare to be around through the weekend.
