Things have been a bit busy lately, so I haven’t had a chance to post recently, but here’s an awesome deal to get back into the swing! Flights to Bali from Philadelphia are as low as $537 roundtrip – and that includes all taxes and fees! Even if you have to factor in an extra flight to get to Philadelphia from your location, you can likely keep your total under $675 or so.
Bali is an incredible destination – lots of beautiful beaches, but lots of culture and places to explore as well. The Mrs. Guru and I spent a week there on our Honeymoon, and there are so many sights to see. Take a look at Part 1, 2, and 3 of our trip…most things, from hotels to food, are very cheap, and normally the most expensive part of Bali is getting there in the first place. But with this deal, it can be an relatively cheap vacation to see this spectacular island.
From what I can tell, the best fares are available through the end of November this year, and then from January through at least March of next year. I usually recommend using ITA Matrix for finding flights, but for this particular fare, I had trouble pulling it up on ITA. So the best place to search flexible dates seems to be on Google Flights. When searching, the airport code for Bali is DPS (which is short for Denpasar, the official name for the capital city of the island). The lowest fares do require a minimum 14 day stay, which is certainly a consideration for taking vacation time, but if you can make it happen, I’d highly recommend it!
It does take a long time to get there, but on the outbound, after the 2 long flights (New York to Tokyo and Tokyo to Taipei), you’ll overnight in Taipei, which means that you can sleep in a real bed at a hotel for the night before continuing on to the last flight:
