American Airlines is running a sale on flights from San Francisco to Dublin, Ireland. Roundtrip flights are as low as $534, which is an exceptional deal from the West Coast. Flights connect in New York (JFK) or Dallas (DFW), and are available from now to March 31, and then again from November 1 through January, 2015. As of now, flights are even available around Thanksgiving and Christmas, so if you’re looking to spend the holidays in Europe, this could be your ticket.
Lots of airlines (Ryanair, EasyJet, Aer Lingus) have very cheap flights from Dublin to the rest of Europe, so even if you don’t want to stay in Ireland, you can use this deal to continue on to elsewhere in Europe. This fare does have a 7-day minimum stay…in other words, you cannot return until 7 days after your departure, so if you’re crazy like me and want to do a long weekend in Europe, this unfortunately won’t work
You can use ITA Matrix to perform flexible date searches….a sample trip is shown below (these flights include an overnight in New York, which could be nice to break up the trip a bit):
I would guess that this fare won’t stick around too long…remember that if you book directly with the airline, you have at least 24 hours to get a full refund, so if you think you want to take advantage of this, book now and think later!
